Die klassische Tympanometrie bei 226 Hz ist in der Diagnostik einiger Mittelohrerkrankungen nur von eingeschränktem Wert. Mit der neuen Option der Breitband-Absorbanz-Tympanometrie lassen sich zusätzliche Erkenntnisse gewinnen und die diagnostische Sicherheit erhöhen. Zwei Fallbeispiele verdeutlichen den Mehrwert der Breitbandmessungen.
