Zusammenfassung

Strenge Indikation, große Sorgfalt - Nosokomiale Harnwegsinfektionen sind in über 90% katheter-assoziiert. Besonders häufig betrifft diese Problematik Ältere und Pflegebedürftige, die bei Immobilität und Harninkontinenz mit einem Blasenverweilkatheter versorgt werden. Nur das Einhalten der korrekten Regeln für den Umgang mit Blasenverweilkathetern kann das Infektionsrisiko minimieren.
