Perianale Affenpocken

Zusammenfassung

Eine neue Viruserkrankung, die Affenpocken, breitet sich aus. Wir berichten über unsere Erfahrungen mit den ersten 8 Patienten seit Beginn des Infektionsausbruchs in Europa unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der analen Manifestation. Nach einer Inkubationszeit von etwa einer Woche kann die Perianalregion der erste Manifestationsort der Affenpocken sein. Die Diagnose wird mit einem PCR-Test (Polymerasekettenreaktion) gestellt. Für die Erkrankung besteht Meldepflicht. Die Therapie erfolgt, außer bei sehr schweren Fällen, symptomatisch. Der Krankheitsverlauf ist meist mild. Eine Isolation von mindestens 21 Tagen wird von der zuständigen Gesundheitsbehörde angeordnet.

Abstract

A new viral disease is spreading throughout Europe, monkeypox. This article reports experiences of the first 8 patients occurring in this center, since the beginning of the outbreak, with special attention to the anal manifestations. After an incubation period of approximately 1 week the perianal region can be the first site of emerging monkeypox lesions. The diagnosis is made by a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. There is a notification requirement to the German health authorities. Treatment is symptomatic, except for very severe cases. The course of the disease is generally mild. The responsible healthcare authorities stipulates a quarantine period of 21 days.
