Zusammenfassung

In Deutschland wird die Zahl der Stomaträger auf ca. 160.000 Menschen geschätzt. Die Inzidenz von stomabedingten Komplikationen beträgt in der Literatur zwischen 20 und 70 %. Neben direkt stomaassoziierten Komplikationen, wie z. B. Stomaprolaps, Stomastenose und parastomaler Hernie, nehmen die Hautirritationen am Stoma einen großen Stellenwert ein. Das Spektrum der Hautirritationen ist vielfältig und führt nachweislich zu reduzierter Lebensqualität. Bei unspezifischem klinischem Erscheinungsbild der peristomalen Hautveränderungen findet sich eine Vielzahl von Differenzialdiagnosen. Neben der häufigsten Diagnose, der irritativ toxischen Dermatitis, treten allergische Dermatitiden auf. Des Weiteren finden sich Infektionen der peristomalen Haut, Manifestationen vorbestehender Hauterkrankungen, Manifestationen autoimmunologischer Erkrankungen und Tumoren der Haut in der Stomaregion.

Abstract

In Germany, the number of people with a stoma is estimated at around 160,000. The incidence of stoma-related complications in the literature is between 20% and 70%. In addition to directly stoma-associated complications, such as stoma prolapse, stoma stenosis and parastomal hernia, skin irritations on the stoma are very important. The spectrum of skin irritations is diverse and has been shown to lead to a reduced quality of life. In cases of unspecific clinical symptoms of the peristomal skin changes there are many differential diagnoses. The most frequent diagnosis is irritant contact dermatitis followed by allergic dermatitis. Furthermore, infections of the peristomal skin, manifestations of pre-existing skin diseases, manifestations of autoimmune diseases and skin tumors are found in the stoma region.
