Zusammenfassung

Der perineale Wundverschluss nach einer abdominoperinealen Rektumexstirpation (APR) stellt oftmals eine große Herausforderung dar. In diesem Beitrag wird der Sigmoid-Flap als neue Option zur Beckenbodenrekonstruktion mit einer Neoscheide vorgestellt. Anhand eines Operationsvideos, welches online zur Verfügung steht, wird die Operationstechnik detailliert dargestellt. Die ersten Ergebnisse dieser innovativen Therapieform sind vielversprechend, jedoch sind noch weitere Studien mit längerem Follow-up nötig, um die Methode besser beurteilen zu können.

Abstract

Closure of the perineal wound after abdominoperineal rectal resection (APR) is often a challenge. This article presents the sigmoid flap as a new option for reconstruction of the pelvic floor and posterior wall of the vagina. The surgical technique is demonstrated in detail with the help of a video of the operation that is available online. The first results of this innovative treatment are promising but further studies with more patients and longer follow-up are needed in order to be able to make a better assessment of the method.
