Die Behandlung von Lumbago mit dem Akupunkturpunkt H3/Le3 („Die mächtige große Straße“, taichong)

Zusammenfassung

Die Autoren schildern in diesem Artikel ihre Erfahrungen mit dem Punkt H3/Le3 („Die mächtige große Straße“, taichong), das foramen qi originalis („Punkt, an dem das Ursprungs-Qi zugänglich ist“, yuanxue) der c. hepatica (Leitbahn des Fk „Leber“, gan jing), den sie zur Behandlung von Lumbago einsetzen. Sie stützen sich dabei zum einen auf Aussagen in medizinischen Klassikern, zum anderen aber auf eigene therapeutische Erfahrungen.

Im ersten Teil ihrer Ausführungen zitieren sie zahlreiche Medizinklassiker und liefern damit wertvolle Hinweise zu Lokalisation, Indikationen und Kombinationsmöglichkeiten von H3/Le3 („Die mächtige große Straße“, taichong). Im Anschluss beleuchten sie das Foramen aus diversen Blickwinkeln und gehen auf die theoretischen Grundlagen ein, die bei der Akupunktur von entscheidender Bedeutung sind. Abschließend werden zwei Fallbeispiele beschrieben, die die Vorgehensweise der Autoren verdeutlichen. In beiden Fällen — eine Patientin mit akuter Lumbago und ein Patient mit langanhaltenden Schmerzen im Lendenbereich — konnte durch Nadelung von H3/Le3 („Die mächtige große Straße“, taichong) in Kombination mit Schröpfen bzw. Moxibustion anderer Punkte eine Genesung der Patienten erreicht werden.

Abstract

In this article the authors describe their experience with the point LIV-3 („Supreme Surge“, taichong), the source point (foramen qi originalis, yuanxue) of the main channel of the liver functional system (c. hepatica, gan jing), which they use for the treatment of lumbago. They draw support for this use first of all from classic works of medicine but also from their own therapeutic experience.

In the first part of their article they quote from a variety of classic medical works and thereby provide valuable details about location, indications and points that could possibly be combined with LIV-3 („Supreme Surge“, taichong). Then they look at the point from a variety of different perspectives and examine the theoretical background which is so decisive for acupuncture points. In conclusion they provide descriptions of two case studies which illustrate the authors’ approach. In both cases — one patient with acute lumbago and one patient with persistent pain in the lumbar region — the patients could be restored to health by needling of the point LIV-3 („Supreme Surge“, taichong) in combination with cupping and moxibustion of other points.
