In this article, as it relates to the statement made in the introduction of the paper in page 2, “It has been estimated that the species has experienced a more than 90% decline in relative abundance since 2013. This is partly attributed to an estimated 99% decline in annual juvenile recruitment in one of the main spawning areas (Biedouw River) as a consequence of aberrant weather patterns, highlighting the threat of climate change (Cerrilla et al. 2022).”—The river name has been erroneously indicated, as per the cited reference (Cerrilla et al. 2022), this statement relates to the Oorlogskloof River and not the Biedouw River.
