On the Hochschild cohomology of commutative Hopf algebras

Abstract.

We give a description of the Hochschild cohomology ring of a commutative Hopf algebra in terms of the Ext-ring of its augmentation, extending earlier results by T. Holm, C. Cibils and A. Solotar on the Hochschild cohomology ring of a finite abelian group.
