Point derivations on non-unital algebras

Abstract.

We shall give necessary and sufficient conditions for the continuity of point derivations on non-unital Banach algebras. Some examples will be included. Furthermore, we shall point out the continuity of every derivation from the Fourier algebra of a discrete group into a symmetric, non-degenerate Banach module.
