Abstract.
Motivated by a recent paper of J. Chmieliński and J. Rätz [2], under considerably less restrictive or alternate assumptions and using different methods we show that every map between two inner product spaces preserving the inner products up to a "negligible" set of arguments has to be almost everywhere equal to an exact solution of the orthogonality equation.
