On the Bloch Heuristic Principle, normality, and totally ramified values

Abstract.

Guided by the Bloch Heuristic Principle, we give a characterization of entire functions of order ≦ 1 with two totally ramified values, a normality criterion for analytic functions in plane domains, and a Picard type theorem. The results are complemented by various examples for completeness.
