Nonholonomic simple \( \mathcal{D} \) -Modules over projective varieties

Abstract.

Let X be a smooth complex projective variety whose Picard group is isomorphic to \( \mathbb{C} \). We prove that there exist simple nonholonomic \( \mathcal{D}_{X}\)-modules of holonomic defect 1.
