Abstract.

We give an explicit description of a basis of ideal terms in every ideal determined variety \( {\cal V} \). If \( {\cal V} \) is of a finite similarity type this implies that the ideal term clone is finitely generated. We describe also certain varieties with 1-generated clone of ideal term in \( {\cal V} \).
