Abstract

Let R be a non-commutative prime ring of characteristic different from 2 with extended centroid C, F ≠ 0 a generalized skew derivation of R, and n ≥ 1 such that [F(x), x]n = 0, for all xR. Then there exists an element λ ∈ C such that F(x) = λx, for all xR.
