Abstract.

This article considers the Boussinesq approximation of Poisson–Stokes equations under given initial value and boundary value conditions. Using a quaternionic operator calculus representations of solutions are presented. If the boundedness of the velocity can be assumed then a stable semi-discretisation procedure approximates the problem.
