Geometry plays a number of fundamental roles in architecture: as support for structure, as an enrichment of experience, as a powerful design tool, as an endower of beauty. Such additional factors for the examination of geometry—including the impact of perception, representation, construction and reception—are crucial for understanding architectural applications of geometry.
