Abstract.
The two-scale asymptotic process is used to investigate microscopic and macroscopic mechanical behaviors of an elastic-perfectly plastic composite material when a tangential slip is allowed on the interface. For multilayered media the microstress and strain tensors are constant in each constituent. This result allows explicit expressions for the macrofree energy to be derived from the macrostiffness tensor, macroelastic domain and hardening rule. Finally a numerical illustration of the macroscopic behavior is presented.
