Zusammenfassung

Die bereits seit den 1960er Jahren als Standardverfahren etablierte Profundaplastik wird hinsichtlich ihrer heutigen Bedeutung, der präoperativen diagnostischen Maßnahmen, der operativen Technik und deren Weiterentwicklung besprochen. An operativen Methoden zur Durchführung einer Profundaplastik bieten sich die Arterienpatchplastik, die Venen- oder Kunststoffpatchplastik und in jüngster Zeit auch die Möglichkeit endovaskulärer und offen chirurgischer Simultaneingriffe an. Gerade im Stadium II einer pAVK nach Fontaine können durch eine Profundaplastik häufig exzellente Früh- und Langzeitergebnisse bei Claudicatiopatienten erzielt werden.

Abstract

Profundaplasty, which has been an established standard procedure since the 1960s will be discussed with respect to its present value, pre-operative diagnostics, operative technique, and the advances in this operative procedure. Profundaplasty may be performed with autogenous arterial patch angioplasty, venous patch angioplasty or prosthetic patch angioplasty, and recently this procedure may be performed in combination with endovascular procedures. Profundaplasty is often followed by excellent early and long-term results in patients suffering from claudication, especially in stage II of peripheral arterial occlusive disease.
