Karten werden heute so vielfältig genutzt wie nie zuvor. In diesem Erfahrungsbericht beschreiben drei Kartografen des GIS-Herstellers und -Dienstleisters Esri ihre Sicht auf Herausforderungen und Trends für die Kartografie im Zeitalter der Apps. Mit Beispielen von Kundenprojekten werden GIS-basierte Lösungsansätze für klassische Kartenhersteller einerseits, und für Entwickler innovativer Apps andererseits, vorgestellt.
