Einsatz der GIS-Software GeoMedia® Professional in der Regionalplanung des Landes Hessen

Zusammenfassung

Die GIS-Software GeoMedia® Professional von Intergraph bildet seit Mitte 2003 das kartographische Hauptwerkzeug der Regionalplanung in den Regierungspräsidien Hessens. Dieser Bericht gibt am Beispiel des Regierungsbezirks Kassel einen Einblick in das weit gefächerte Aufgabengebiet dieses Bereichs der Oberen Landesplanungsbehörde. Der Funktionsumfang (Digitalisierung, Analyse, Abfragen usw.) von GeoMedia® Professional wird exemplarisch anhand aktueller Aufgaben dargestellt. Neben Bemerkungen zur Datenausgabe (PDF-Workflow) schließt der Bericht mit einem Ausblick auf die zu erwartende Entwicklung der Software.

Abstract

GeoMedia® Professional, a GIS software product developed by Intergraph, is the main tool in the field of cartography for regional planning problems used in the Departement for Regional Planning of the German Federal state Hesse. This report provides an insight into the wide spraded tasks of this Country planning division, given by examples from the daily work in Kassel (Council: Northern Hesse). The range of GeoMedia® Professional will be described in view of the functions (digitizing, analysis, queries etc.). In addition to notes on the „Output“-topic (PDF-Workflow) this article will close with a view on the software’s developement.
