Abstract
The crystal and molecular structure of a clip-shaped molecule is described. The structure was solved by vector search methods and refined by least squares methods to R1 = 0.0769 [I > 2σ(I)]. Crystal data: C40H36N4O6.2CCl3H, monoclinic, space group P21/n, a = 12.567(1), b = 19.171(1), c = 17.431(1)Å β = 91.676(6)°, V = 4197.7(5)Å3, Z = 4.
