Physical Properties of Polymer Composites. Renormalization Group-Based Approach

  • Published:
Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics Aims and scope

Abstract

With the aid of renormalization group transformations in real space a model of the structure of a microinhomogeneous material is constructed and a method is proposed to calculate effective physical properties of composite materials such as conductivity, elasticity moduli, and the thermal expansion coefficient. Calculation results are compared to experimental data.
