Numerical Investigation of the Effect of Compressibility on the Mechanism of Decreasing the Motion Drag of a Cylinder with Organized Stall Regions in a Turbulent Flow of Viscous Gas

Abstract

On the basis of numerical simulation of a turbulent flow of a viscous compressible gas around a composition of a cylinder with coaxial disks, a study was carried out to investigate the influence of compressibility on the effect of decreasing the motion drag of blunt bodies with organized stall regions.
