Oxygen Steelmaking Cost Comparison: Kaldo VS. LD

Abstract

Using approximate cost calculations, the Kaldo and LD oxygen steelmaking processes are shown to be economically competitive in the US today, and a basis is established jor evaluating other relative advantages of the two processes.
