Cadmium practice at Great Falls

Abstract

Cadmium metal, for which the demand has increased many fold in the past several years, is a byproduct of zinc electrolysis. Here is presented the story of cadmium recovery and production in the electrolytic zinc plant of the Anaconda Co.’s Great Falls plant.
