Raw materials for the American Iron and Steel Industry

Abstract

During the past several years there has been much discussion about future requirements of iron and steel. Of equal concern are the quantities of raw materials that will be needed and their sources. To supply this rapidly expanding industry for the next 20 years, we may need almost twice as much iron ore and metallurgical coke as during the past score of years.
