Abstract

An investigation was made of the dependence of the strength of silver brazed, low carbon steel joints on the geometry of the joint. The experimental results indicate that for cylindrical test specimens having transverse brazed joints, the ultimate tensile strength is really a linear function of the thickness to diameter ratio rather than only of the thickness of the filler metal for constant specimen diameter.
