Abstract
If there is one metal that has been historically associated with France, it is aluminum. And today the country’s aluminum producers are still leading the way toward more efficient output.
This is the first-hand story of a week’s visit by Journal of Metal’s managing editor to the bauxite mines, alumina plants, and aluminum reduction works of Pechiney, France’s leader in aluminum.
