Abstract

Brookhaven National Laboratory is now in its 11th year. One of the major research facilities, the graphite reactor, has supported many programs in the research since 1950. Under current construction is the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron, which will accelerate protons to energies of 25 Bev. The past and present research activities of the Laboratory, and its organizational history, are reviewed in brief.
