Abstract

There is a vast amount of research work for both Government and private industry now underway in the industrial, Government, and university laboratories. JOURNAL OF METALS brings you a summary of some of the outstanding projects, with abstracts or summarizations of the progress thus far on such work, prepared by scientists in charge of the activities. Descriptions of these research projects will be given in greater detail at the AIME Annual Meeting, Hotel Statler, Los Angeles, at 2 pm Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1953. The papers will be presented in the same order as they appear here.
