DIP-FORMING—A Continuous Casting Process

Abstract

Basic conditions and laboratory development activity leading to a dip-forming continuous casting process for copper wire rod are presented. The problems encountered and how they were solved are described, and the mechanical and electrical properties and limitations of the resultant metal are detailed.
