Abstract

3 pigeons were exposed to a chain FI 2 adjusting ratio schedule with a switching option. The adjusting ratio was equal to the number of responses in the interval. When Ss were given the option to switch from the adjusting ratio to a fixed ratio, an interaction was demonstrated between the number of responses in the interval and the size of the fixed ratio.
