Relation of Fear of Death in Subjects to Fear of Death in their Parents

Abstract

The fears of death of female students were compared to the fears of death of their parents, and it was found that the fears of death of daughters significantly resembled the fears of death of their mothers but not the fears of death of their fathers. Implications of these results for understanding the development of fears of death were discussed.
