Akupunktur für das shen — psychiatrische und psychotherapeutische Behandlung mit Akupunktur (Teil 1)

Zusammenfassung

Aus Sicht der chinesischen Medizin spielt shen (konstellierende Kraft) eine zentrale Rolle bei psychiatrischen Erkrankungen. Der Autor beleuchtet aus diesem Grund zunächst das shen aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln und erläutert anschließend, wie durch Akupunktur auf shen eingewirkt werden kann. Neben einer allgemeinen Entspannung und Beruhigung kann durch eine Nadelung eine „psychiatrische Akupunktur“ oder „Akupunktur für das shen“ durchgeführt werden — diese steht im Mittelpunkt dieses ersten Teils seines zweiteiligen Artikels.

Der Autor geht ausführlich auf die Bedeutung des o. cardialis (Fk „Herz“, xin) für das shen ein. Daran anschließend beschreibt er, wie durch Akupunktur Wirkungen erzielt werden können, die in der Psychiatrie eine Rolle spielen wie Stützen des o. cardialis (Fk „Herz“, xin) und Beruhigen des shen, Regulieren von Stagnationen des qi cardiale (Qi des Fk „Herz“, xinqi) sowie Kühlen von calor („Hitze“, re), wobei er den letzten Punkt weiter differenziert. Es werden jeweils wichtige Foramina genannt und erläutert, zudem werden Aspekte angesprochen, die es bei psychiatrischen Erkrankungen zu beachten gilt. Dabei schöpft der Autor aus seinem umfangreichen Wissen und nennt auch die Grenzen der Akupunkturbehandlung.

Abstract

From the point of view of Chinese medicine, the spirit (configurative force, shen) plays a very significant role in psychiatric illnesses. For this reason the author begins by examining the shen from a variety of perspectives and then explains how acupuncture can be used to exert an influence on it. In addition to inducing general relaxation and calm, the needling can be used to perform “psychiatric acupuncture” or “acupuncture for the shen” — this is the author’s main focus in this first part of his two-part article.

He examines in detail the importance of the Heart functional system (o. cardialis, xin) for the shen. He then goes on to describe the way in which acupuncture is able to achieve effects which influence the psychiatric condition such as supporting the Heart functional system (o. cardialis, xin) and calming the shen, remedying stagnation of the Heart qi (qi cardiale, xinqi) as well as cooling Heat (calor, re), and, with regard to the latter, the author makes more differentiations. In each case, important acupuncture points are named and explained, and particular aspects are mentioned to which special attention must be given in the context of psychiatric illnesses. In this article the author draws on, and shares, his very extensive knowledge in this field and he also indicates the limits of acupuncture treatment.
