Behandlungsmöglichkeiten von Diabetes mellitus und des diabetischen Fußsyndroms mit chinesischer Medizin

Zusammenfassung

Die westliche Medizin hat ein tiefes Verständnis des Diabetes auf zellulärer und genetischer Ebene gebracht und durch moderne Insuline und Antidiabetika die Kontrolle des Blutzuckers ermöglicht. Die Möglichkeiten der westlichen Medizin hinsichtlich der Therapie diabetischer Komplikationen sind aber begrenzt. Dies betrifft sowohl die diabetische Nephropathie, Arteriosklerose, Polyneuropathie als auch das diabetische Fußsyndrom.

Im Artikel werden die Grundlagen der chinesischen Diabetes-Therapie zusammengefasst und anschließend das diabetische Fußsyndrom und seine Behandlungsmöglichkeiten dargestellt. Frau Prof. Qi Luguang hat hier umfassende klinische Erfahrungen gesammelt. Anhand einer Kasuistik wird das Vorgehen gezeigt.

Abstract

Western medicine has achieved a profound understanding of diabetes at the level of the cells and the genes, and has made it possible to control blood-sugar by means of insulin and anti-diabetic drugs. Yet the options that Western medicine offers with regard to the treatment of diabetic complications are rather limited. This is true of diabetic nephropathy, arteriosclerosis, polyneuropathy and of diabetic foot syndrome.

This article summarises the basic elements of Chinese diabetes therapy and then looks at diabetic foot syndrome and the possible ways it can be treated. Prof. Qi Luguang has gathered very comprehensive clinical experience with this condition and, with the help of a case study, she presents the procedure for treatment.
