Treatment of Nickel-Copper Matte

Abstract

In the treatment of copper-nickel sulfide ores, separation of copper from the nickel has been one of the major metallurgical problems. This article describes techniques adopted by Inco on the basis of its laboratory studies and pilot-plant development.
