Abstract

An experimental survey was made of the oxidation resistance, stress rupture strength, creep, and impact strength of Ti-36 pct Al at elevated temperature. Room temperature mechanical properties were measured. A few ternary alloys based on Ti-36 pct Al were also studied in less detail. Both desirable and undesirable properties were found.
