Experimental Observations Concerning the Collapse of Dislocation Loops During Annealing

Abstract

The c-axis indentations in zinc crystals were shown to undergo 100 pet strain recovery on heating. The mode of deformation and the details of the polygonization and collapse of indentations were found to be consistent with a number of predictions of dislocation theory.
