Abstract

A systematic study of the structural properties of the composites of lead zirconate titanate (PZT)-polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) was performed using infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry. Attempts were made to correlate the results of electrical studies with the structural modifications. The observed phase transition in a particular composite P9 (90 wt% PZT) was confirmed by structural and thermal studies.
