Zusammenfassung

Sind Nicht-Opioid-Analgetika in der Therapie chronischer Schmerzen ausgereizt, kommen nach dem WHO-Stufenplan zunächst schwächere Opioide (Stufe II), dann stärkere Opioide der Stufe III zum Einsatz. Dieser Stufenplan ist aber kein starres Schema, entscheidend für die Therapie sind Ausmaß und Art der Schmerzen.
