Zusammenfassung

Ein 19-jähriger Typ-1-Diabetiker leidet seit drei Tagen an Übelkeit und anhaltendem Erbrechen mit subfebrilen Temperaturen. Innerhalb von zwölf Stunden hat sich sein Zustand akut verschlechtert. Er reagiert nur noch auf Schmerzreize, die Atmung ist vertieft. Blutzucker: 420 mg/dl, pH-Wert: 7,02. Da die letzte Schulung im Kindesalter stattfand, hat der Patient während der gastrointestinalen Erkrankung das Insulin drastisch reduziert bzw. z. T. ganz weggelassen.
