Zusammenfassung

Bei der akuten Otitis media genügt meist schon eine Blickdiagnose. Klagt der Patient allerdings plötzlich über Ohrgeräusche oder Drehschwindel oder liegt eine chronische Mittelohrentzündung vor, muss frühzeitig der HNO-Fachkollege konsultiert werden, um Langzeitschäden und ggf. potenziell lebensbedrohliche Verläufe zu vermeiden.
