Zusammenfassung

Meist fällt sie erst ins Auge, wenn die Patientin sich vornüberbeugt: Die idiopathische Adoleszenten skoliose (IAS) wird häufig nicht entdeckt oder fehlbehandelt. Dabei lässt sich die Krümmung der Wirbelsäule unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen relativ gut (und evidenzbasiert) mit konservativen Maßnahmen korrigieren. Unser Beitrag zeigt, ob Ihre Patientin (Mädchen sind viermal so häufig betroffen wie Jungen) hierfür ein Korsett benötigt oder nicht.
