Zusammenfassung

Ohne Prophylaxe würde bei bis zu 80% der Patienten nach orthopädischen oder chirurgischen Eingriffen eine Venenthrombose auftreten. Eine leitliniengerechte Prophylaxe kann dieses Risiko auf ein Minimum reduzieren. Dieser Beitrag stellt praxisorientiert dar, was bei Patienten mit Gips- bzw. Hartschalenverband, Orthesen und Gelenkendoprothesen zu tun ist.
