Zusammenfassung

Erste Studiendaten belegen den blutdrucksenkenden Effekt von Aldosteronantagonisten bei therapierefraktärer Hypertonie. Doch für allgemeine Empfehlungen ist es zu früh, meinen unsere Autoren. Diskussionen gibt es derzeit auch zum Stellenwert eines Screenings auf primären Hyperaldosteronismus bei diesen Patienten sowie zur Durchführung einer niedrig dosierten Therapie mit einem Aldosteron-antagonisten unabhängig vom Aldosteronspiegel.
