Zusammenfassung

Es gibt keine typischen Symptome. Erst wenn der Patient bereits Blut hustet, wird ein Verdacht in Richtung Lungenkrebs konkreter. Doch selbst wenn in einem frühen Stadium operiert wird, ist die Zahl der Rezidive trotz guter 5-Jahres-überlebensraten ungewöhnlich hoch. Multimodale Therapiekonzepte und eine effektive systemische Tumorkontrolle könnten dies verbessern, meint unser Autor.
