Zusammenfassung

Bei relativ vielen Patienten, die zur Oberbauchsono kommen, werden Sie auf echogebende Strukturen in der Gallenblase treffen. Damit stellt sich die Frage: Zufallsbefund oder therapiebedürftige Erkrankung? Die Tatsache, dass ein Patient asymptomatisch ist, heißt noch nicht, dass z. B. Konkremente oder Polypen ignoriert werden dürfen. Ein nüchterner Patient und der Lagewechsel während der Untersuchung sind in jedem Fall wichtige Voraussetzungen für eine sichere Diagnostik.
