Louis P. Jahnke, Manager, Material Process Technology Laboratories, Aircraft Engine Group, General Electric Co., Cincinnati, earned his B.S. and M.S. at the University of Michigan. A member of TMS, for L. P. Jahnke the past 25 years he has been responsible for research and development of high temperature and high strength materials in G.E.’s Aircraft Engine Group. The Material and Process Technology Laboratories which he manages provides materials and manufacturing process technology to support the company’s entire line of aircraft gas turbines. Jahnke holds several patents on high temperature alloys and structures and has served on several committees for the National Materials Advisory Board.
