Dr. Eric A. Walker, a director and vice president-science and technology of Aluminum Corp. of America, joined Alcoa in 1970 after his retirement as president of Pennsylvania State University. He was elected a director in December 1971. Born in England, Dr. Walker earned his bachelor (1932) and doctor (1935) degrees in science and the master’s (1933) degree in business administration at Harvard University. As an engineer, scientist, and educator, Dr. Walker’s experience covers such diversified fields as business administration, government, oceanography, power transmission, and public service. He has been a key adviser to the Federal Government through service on many technical and scientific advisory panels.
