Lorentz A. Johanson, Jr. is assistant super-intendent-BOP steel-making shop at US Steel’s Edgar Thomson plant. Prior to assuming that post in August 1973, he was general foreman-melting. Mr. Johanson joined US Steel in 1965 following his graduation from Cornell University. After three years in the U.S. Navy, he returned to the Gary works where he served in various posts before his move to the Edgar Thomson plant in Braddock, Pa.
